The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament that helps to heal and purify the spirit of the person who receives it. Through it, the Lord can give the health of the body, soul and spirit of the Christian who goes through a serious illness or advanced old age. By receiving the anointing willingly and in grace, if it is the will of God, one can even obtain the healing or the health that the sick person needs.
Anointing of the Sick is not limited to those who are in danger of death. There can be many reasons to receive this sacrament such as: serious sickness, surgery, chronic pain, addiction, healing from trauma, mental health issues, or
another burden that you seek the sacramental healing of Jesus. This sacrament can be celebrated during Mass or anywhere it is needed, including at home or in the hospital where the sick person is.
The Anointing of the sick Mass is celebrated the first Saturday of the month at 9:00am in Our Lady of Sorrows Church. If you are need of Anointing of the Sick, please call the parish office at (307) 362-2611 and ask for Anointing of sick or
