Symptoms of COVID-19: Bishop Steven has instructed that individuals displaying symptoms of COVID-19 will need to be asked to return home. You can imagine how awkward this would be for one of our priests or a minister of hospitality (usher). Please be mindful of putting one of our parish servants in this uncomfortable situation! According to the Centers of Disease Control, the common symptoms are: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell. For more information from the CDC on COVID-19 symptoms please visit their website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html Since priests and hospitality ministers have been instructed to watch for these symptoms, please self-monitor yourselves. The priests will not be able to determine the difference between a cough from seasonal allergies or from COVID-19, so it will be up to us to make the prudent decision to sacrifice for our brothers and sisters and stay home. It will likely disrupt the prayer of the entire congregation if a member is coughing repeatedly during the Mass.
